Privacy Policy for DriveCue
This Privacy Policy explains how DriveCue collects, uses, stores, and protects information when PUC (Pollution Under Control) centers and their customers use our platform. By subscribing to DriveCue, businesses agree to this policy.
1. About DriveCue
DriveCue is a subscription-based software platform built for PUC (Pollution Under Control) centers and vehicle service businesses across India. It helps businesses manage customer profiles, vehicle records, PUC certificate expiry dates, and automated renewal reminders — all from a single dashboard.
When a PUC center subscribes to DriveCue, our platform automatically sends WhatsApp reminder messages to their customers on their behalf, using DriveCue's own WhatsApp Business API integration. Subscribed businesses do not need to set up or manage any WhatsApp API of their own.
2. Information We Collect
We collect and store the following information solely for the purpose of providing our services:
Business Account Information:
- PUC center name, owner name, registered mobile number, and login credentials.
- Business address, GST or registration details (if provided for billing purposes).
- Subscription plan selected, billing cycle, and payment history.
Customer & Vehicle Information (entered by the subscribed business):
- Customer name and mobile number.
- Vehicle number, vehicle type, fuel type.
- PUC certificate issue date, expiry date, and certificate reference details.
Communication & System Logs:
- WhatsApp message delivery status, timestamps, and reminder stage (e.g., 7 days before, 1 day before expiry).
- Platform access logs including IP address, device/browser details, and login timestamps.
3. How We Use Information
All information collected is used exclusively for the following purposes:
- To create and manage subscribed business accounts on the DriveCue platform.
- To store and organize customer and vehicle records entered by the business.
- To automatically identify upcoming PUC certificate expiry dates and trigger timely WhatsApp reminders to the relevant customers.
- To display dashboard reports, reminder history, delivery summaries, and usage analytics to the subscribed business.
- To process subscription payments, manage billing cycles, and generate invoices.
- To provide customer support and resolve technical or account-related issues.
- To maintain platform security, prevent misuse, and ensure reliable service delivery.
4. WhatsApp Messaging — How It Works
DriveCue sends automated WhatsApp reminder messages to customers of subscribed PUC centers. These messages notify customers that their vehicle's PUC certificate is approaching its expiry date and prompt them to renew it at the business.
Messages sent through our platform use Meta-approved message templates. The content, format, and delivery of messages comply with WhatsApp Business Policy and Meta's Commerce Policy.
Message delivery may be subject to the customer's phone availability, network conditions, WhatsApp account status, and Meta's platform guidelines. DriveCue is not responsible for undelivered messages due to factors outside its control.
5. Subscription & Payments
Access to DriveCue's features is available through a paid subscription. Businesses choose a plan based on the number of vehicles or reminders they manage.
Payments are processed through authorized third-party payment gateways such as Cashfree or similar providers. DriveCue does not store full card numbers, CVV codes, UPI PINs, net banking passwords, or any sensitive payment credentials on its servers.
All payment transactions are handled securely by the respective payment gateway in accordance with their own PCI-DSS standards and security policies. Transaction reference numbers and payment status records are retained for billing and support purposes.
6. Data Sharing
DriveCue does not sell, rent, or trade any personal information. Data is shared only in the following strictly necessary cases:
- With Meta / WhatsApp Business Platform to deliver approved reminder messages and receive message delivery status updates on behalf of subscribed businesses.
- With authorized payment gateway providers for processing subscription payments and verifying transactions.
- With cloud hosting, database, or infrastructure service providers required to operate, maintain, and secure the DriveCue platform.
- With government, legal, or regulatory authorities when disclosure is required under applicable Indian law or valid legal process.
Customer data entered by a subscribed business is never shared with any other business or third party for marketing, advertising, or commercial purposes.
7. Data Security
DriveCue applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect all stored data from unauthorized access, misuse, accidental loss, alteration, or disclosure. These measures include secure HTTPS connections, encrypted storage where applicable, access controls, and regular security monitoring.
However, no system on the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Subscribed businesses and their team members are advised to keep their DriveCue account passwords confidential, not share login credentials, and report any suspicious activity to our support team immediately.
8. Data Retention
We retain business account information, customer and vehicle records, reminder logs, and payment records for as long as required to provide our services and comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and operational obligations.
If a business account is cancelled or a subscription expires, data may be retained for a reasonable period before deletion, in accordance with legal requirements or for dispute resolution purposes. Businesses may contact our support team to request data export, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable laws and operational constraints.
9. Business Responsibility
PUC centers and businesses subscribing to DriveCue act as the data controllers for the customer and vehicle information they enter into our platform. By using DriveCue, subscribed businesses confirm that:
- They have collected their customers' contact details through a legitimate, lawful channel (e.g., at the time of issuing a PUC certificate).
- Their customers have a reasonable expectation of receiving service-related reminders from the business.
- The customer mobile numbers entered are accurate and belong to the intended recipients.
- They will not use DriveCue to send unsolicited, irrelevant, or prohibited communications.
- They will ensure customer data is handled responsibly and in accordance with applicable Indian privacy laws.
DriveCue shall not be held liable for any improper use of the platform by a subscribed business or its team members.
10. Cookies & Technical Data
The DriveCue web platform may use cookies or similar browser technologies to manage login sessions, maintain security, analyze platform usage, and improve user experience. Cookies used are strictly functional or analytical and are not used for cross-site advertising or tracking.
Users may manage or disable cookies through their browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect login functionality or platform performance.
11. Your Rights
Subscribed businesses may contact DriveCue at any time to:
- Request access to or correction of their business account information.
- Request deletion of their account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Raise concerns about how their data or their customers' data is being handled.
Requests related to end-customer data (such as a vehicle owner requesting their details be removed) should be submitted by the subscribed business through our support channel, as DriveCue processes such data on behalf of the business.
12. Changes to This Policy
DriveCue may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws, or business operations. When material changes are made, the updated policy will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of DriveCue after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We recommend that subscribed businesses review this page periodically.
